Meet the Founder
With continuing interest in drawing, painting, and the photographic arts, Tegwin's current emphasis lies with the latest adventures in the pastel medium. IT's drawing and painting melded together with the touch of medium to the canvas and nothing but me between. She feels pastel enables her to express her freedom of spirit through the stroke of the pastel. IN her oils, she like the precision of stroke, the melding of time, oil, and place of the stroke-like a heartbeat continuing until completion of the work. En Plein air and in the studio, Tegwin transfers her drama to the artwork delighting in the melding of mood, color, and place or object through each media.
She's been a member for many years of local, regional, and national Arts, service, educational and professional organizations, art groups, and societies throughout the USA. Since 1982 she has won recognition and/or awards from such jurors as but not limited to Shirley Dubnick of Solomon-Dubnick Gallery, Cole Weston, Joe Draggaert, Ted Orland, William F. Reese, Richard McKinley, Marilyn Hughey Phillis, Albert Handel, Doug Dawson, Richard McDaniel, Jan Kuntz, Anita Wolf, Lorenzo Chavez, Glenna Hartman, and Janet Turner.
